Takagi Masakatsu is an artist who works both in visual arts and music. Whilst producing music using piano and computer resources, Masakatsu creates video arts using animation and own footage. His CDs and DVDs have been released all over the world showcasing his art. His video installations and live performances have been presented at art spaces and galleries, producing/directing music and music videos, music for TV commercial films and so on.

BLOOMY GIRLS is a book which includes a DVD that showcases the art in its full capacity; the music he pairs with each piece expands the story to its full extent. His work is known as ‘Video Paintings’, the still images are also seen as beautiful paintings.

The art you see in BLOOMY GIRLS were produced in 2004–2005, including the 4 works; “Bloomy Girls”, “Pia Files”, “Light Pool”, and “WAVE” which were only seen at museums and art galleries before this.
