Takagi Masakatsu is an artist who works both in visual music and art. Whilst producing music using piano and computer resources, Masakatsu creates video arts using animation and own footage. His CDs and DVDs have been released all over the world — showcasing his art. His video installations and live performances have been presented at art spaces and galleries, and he has produced/directed music and music videos, as well as music for TV commercials.

BLOOMY GIRLS is a book that includes a DVD showcasing the art at its fullest; the music he pairs with each piece expands the story to its fullest extent. His work is known as ‘Video Paintings’; the still images are also seen as beautiful paintings.
