Akira Kobayashi is a Japanese photographer who worked as a photographer for Magnum Photo’s photographer who also served as a chairman. He then worked as a photography assistant for Elliot Erwitt. Kobayashi continues to be active in fashion and advertising.

Smile Rock is a photo collection directed by Shigekazu Kuwahara, a music producer who has made a name for himself in a selection of songs by the Comme Des Garçons collection and in “Pithecanthropus Erectus”. This is a unique visual collection edited by Kobayashi around 70 years conveying the charm of “Rock” through photos centered around hippie culture, Venice’s scared place Venice Beach.
